Within the SEAGO region, 89.5 percent of nonfarm jobs are in the service sector, with government employment accounting for 31.8 percent of all jobs, according to ADOC figures.

The highest level of service-sector employment in the region is in Cochise County, where 94 percent of all jobs are in service-providing industries (including government).

The lowest level of service-sector employment is in Greenlee County at 30.7 percent; most goods-producing employment in Greenlee County is the mining industry.

The highest level of government employment in the region is in Graham County at 34.9 percent of all nonfarm employment, most predominantly in the state and federal prison facilities.

The second highest level of government employment is in Cochise County at 33.2 percent due largely to the presence of Fort Huachuca, as well as Immigration and Customs Enforcement, including Customs and Border Protection.
